The early experiences of socialization were provided through social groups, families, and, subsequently, peer groups that communicate and enforce norms (Keirns, Strayer, Griffiths, Vyain, Bry, Cody-Rydzewski, & Sadler, 2015). In these environments, people first learn to use physical objects of material culture while also being introduced to society's ideals and values. Gender socialization is diverse and varies by culture as well as from individual to person depending on the people and situations with whom they have come into contact. The influence of social media and mass media has increased at both personal and professional levels and therefore has a major influence on young people.
